If ECU-S1 firmware is older than v2.0.30465, first upgrade to v2.0.30465 before upgrading to the latest firmware.    

Update Procedure:

  1. Update to current firmware
  2. Power cycle system and wait 1 minute before powering back on
  3. System will now get a green satellite and autosteer will function properly   

  

ParaDyme

Update Procedure: 

  1. Update to current firmware
  2. Power cycle system and wait 1 minute before powering back on
  3. With the system powered back on, wait 15-20 minutes for GPS almanac to update
  4. System will now get a green satellite icon and function properly  

Installation Directions:

  1. If the ParaDyme is currently on a version older than 3.0.25494, then it will need to be upgraded in two steps. First upgrade to version 3.0.25494, then to the newest version.
  2. Download the appropriate firmware file from the table above and copy the file to a USB drive.
  3. Download and follow the ParaDyme Upgrade Instructions. If there are issues with loading the firmware file during the upgrade process, follow this link.

Rescue Package Procedure:

In very rare cases, the system may fail to reboot after the installation of firmware from the User Display. If this should happen, a rescue USB disk needs to be created to get the system to reboot. First review the ParaDyme Rescue Package Procedure, then download the rescue disk (ParaDyme-v3-rescuedisk.zip (24 MB)) and follow the instructions. You will use the rescue disk to upgrade the Roof Module and then repeat the installation steps above to update to the latest firmware.

Important Note:

Installation Directions:

  1. To complete the upgrade you must have a Windows computer with a 9-pin serial port and Microsoft .NET installed. You will also need the SA Module Programming cable (PN: 201-0350-01) available from Ag Leader.
  2. Download the firmware package listed above and run the self-extractor. Included in the package is the SAM Firmware Upload Tool, a Windows software application you will need to install and use to complete the upgrade.
  3. Review the SA Module Upgrade Instructions for step-by-step guidance through the process.

Installation Directions:

  1. First download and install EZ-Toolbox PC software listed above on your computer. EZ-Toolbox is required to upgrade your EZ-Steer controller.
  2. Download the correct EZ-Steer firmware version.

EZ-Guide 500 / EZ-Guide 250

Installation Directions:

  1. Insert the USB drive into the EZ-Guide 500 or 250 and then turn on power.
  2. The new firmware will automatically be detected and you will be prompted to install it (this may take several minutes).
  3. The firmware upgrade will proceed and the EZ-Guide 500 or 250 will automatically reboot when it has completed.
  4. Read about the updates in the EZ-Guide 500 release notes.
