This article will cover common questions about live maps on AgFiniti Mobile.  This document will continuously be updated.

When will live maps release?

Live maps will become available in the March 2019 update of AgFiniti cloud and AgFiniti mobile.

What operations do live maps support?

At release, live maps will be for the planting operation.  Additional operations such as Site Verification, Application, and Harvest are scheduled to be released later in 2019.

What is required to view a live map in AgFiniti Mobile?

  1. One or more InCommand displays with DisplayCast unlocked
  2. InCommand version 4.2+
  3. AgFinti Essentials license
  4. iPad with AgFiniti Mobile app
  5. All devices logged into the same AgFiniti account.

What mappable attributes are available for the planting operation?

How do live maps work?

Mapping information synced with DisplayCast is available for AgFiniti Mobile to view. Recently created events including events used across multiple days will be available.

How do I know if I have live maps available to view from DisplayCast when in AgFiniti Mobile?

When you tap on the AgFiniti Mobile field filter, all fields with live map information from the past 24hrs will have a DisplayCast icon next to the field name. This icon is also present in the edit source list to indicate live vs logged sources.

Is my live map data permanently stored on my iPad?

No, live map data requires an internet connection and is pulled from Agfiniti cloud to the iPad as it is viewed.  Logged data that is stored to the iPad will be available after the data is exported from the display, and processed from AgFiniti.

Will I have summary reports available on AgFiniti mobile based on my live map?

No, summary report information will only be available after logged data is exported from the display to AgFiniti.

How will my live maps look compared to the InCommand display?

Live maps will have the same row level detail for planting attributes that you can see on your InCommand display.

Can I edit my live map legend in AgFiniti Mobile?

Live maps will use an app default or user defined legend based on the currently mapped attribute.  The live legend cannot be directly edited, the user would need to edit the legend of their logged maps.

Can I print my live map from AgFiniti mobile?

Yes, the print map/layer function can be used in AgFiniti Mobile when viewing a live map.

When viewing a live map on AgFiniti Mobile, how often does the map update?

AgFiniti Mobile will receive updates for live maps at approximately a 5 second interval. This is the same rate InCommand displays running DisplayCast update synced maps.

Will I need a new or different iPad to use live maps?

AgFiniti Mobile is supported on IOS 10 and newer for iPads only.  The current list of supported devices is available on the App Store.

Does streaming live maps to my iPad use data?

AgFiniti mobile will require data/internet for a live map to load.  A minimal amount of data will be used each time a live field is loaded and each time a live map updates if it is being viewed.
